Know before you tint
Everything you need to know about window tint in Ohio — the law, what VLT means, and how to care for your tint.
Stay street-legal
Must let in more than 50% of light.
Any darkness is allowed.
Required if the back window is tinted.
Tint only on the top 5 inches, non-reflective.
Laws can change — we build every job to stay compliant, so you never risk a ticket. Mirrored, red and yellow film are not allowed.
VLT is Visible Light Transmission — the percent of light a tint lets through. Lower VLT means darker. A 50% tint lets in half the light; 20% lets in much less. We help you pick a legal, good-looking shade.
Ceramic film blocks more heat and UV than standard tint without going darker, won't interfere with phone or GPS signal, and lasts longer. Best if staying cool and protecting your interior matters most.
